As September arrives, it's not just a change in weather, but a perfect opportunity for a fresh start.

With the summer holidays behind us and a new season upon us, there's no better moment to recommit to your health & wellness goals and make the most of the remaining four months of the year.

Use this time to focus on your wellness journey and set a positive course for the months ahead.
The Wellness Wheel Exercise is a powerful tool that provides a visual representation of your life's balance. It's taken from The Wellness Transformation Planner, and helps you identify areas of strength and those that could use extra attention. By completing this exercise, you'll be taking a significant step towards a more balanced and fulfilling life as we enter this new season.

Here's how to complete the Wellness Wheel Exercise:

  1. Evaluate Honestly: Rate each area on the wheel from 1 (rock bottom) to 10 (totally on top of your game).
  2. Connect the Dots: Use a ruler to draw straight lines between the boxes you've marked.
  3. Analyse The Shape: The more circular the shape, the more balanced you are. A jagged shape indicates imbalance.

Remember, where you are now is just a starting point. It's important to acknowledge that your current situation is what it is. But, you hold the power to change anything in your life that feels substandard. Where you will go next depends on the actions you choose to take now. Embrace this chance to shape your future.

After completing the exercise, take the following actionable steps to make progress:

  1. Prioritise Your Focus Areas: Identify the sections with the lowest scores. These are your key areas for improvement. Choose one or two to focus on initially to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
  2. Set Specific Goals: For each focus area, set clear, achievable goals. Break them down into small, manageable steps you can take daily or weekly.
  3. Develop a plan of action for each goal: Consider what resources or support you need, such as additional guidance like a wellness coach or tools like a fitness tracker or meal planner.
  4. Check-in regularly with your goals and adjust your plan as needed: Celebrate small victories along the way, such as sticking to your weekly exercise routine or achieving a personal best in a fitness activity, to keep your motivation high.
