The Wellness Planner : How it all began

If you want to make the life you’ve been dreaming of a reality, then the Wellness Planner is the constant companion you need.

It’s been a labour of love and is the result of a rollercoaster ride towards a life less ordinary.

Here’s the story behind the Wellness Planner, followed by some tips for getting started on your own journey towards the life you deserve.

Living, not existing

At the beginning of 2015, I decided I was fed up with just existing. I wasn’t happy with the status quo and decided to start doing things on my own terms.

I came up with the idea for Project 52, which meant trying 52 new things in the space of a year and getting well out of my comfort zone in the process.

Only a few months later, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Thankfully, it was benign. Surgery to remove it did take its toll, but it only made me more determined than ever to create a life less ordinary and forge ahead with Project 52.

By 2018 I’d decided it was time to quit corporate, and my husband and I opened our fitness studio, Sean Salinger Fitness in Manchester.

And there was one thing that quickly became apparent. For the majority of people, mindset was the only thing standing between them and achieving their goals.

They thought their issue was their weight, but once they realised their weight was just a symptom of their mindset and approach, change finally started to happen.

That combined with my own experiences of the power of positivity meant it wasn’t long before I knew that becoming a mindset coach was the right path for me.

Helping other women do just the same

I’m now a Certified NLP Practitioner, Certified NLP Coach, Certified Hypnosis Practitioner, Certified EFT Practitioner and Certified Timeline Therapy Practitioner.

As a fully-qualified coach, I’m now helping women from all walks of life to thrive and create their own extraordinary lives.

I want to help as many women as I can make the lives they’ve been dreaming of a reality.

And that’s how the Wellness Planner was born.

It’s designed to support women just like you with their journeys. Women who already have everything they need to unlock a life less ordinary, but just need to be shown the key.

Now it’s your turn

You’ve already got your own rich story to tell, but now it’s time to make sure that story has the happy ending you deserve.

Here are a few tips for starting to live the rest of your life as you mean to go on with the Wellness Planner’s help.

1. Take ownership of your journey, and commit to it

You need to fully commit to this if it’s going to work. No half measures.

So add your name to your planner and take some time to carefully read all the guidance and check out all the exercises.

Take the pledge to yourself, and know that you can do this.

2. Dedicate non-negotiable time to your journey

When you’re not used to taking time for yourself and for the things that are really important to you, it can be hard to start carving that time out without getting distracted or feeling guilty.

So try and see the planner as a non-negotiable part of your day.

It’s just as important as your professional or personal commitments, and if you don’t take it seriously then you can be sure no one else will.

When you’re just getting started, there are lots of exercises that will help you set your goals and get into the right mindframe.

Each exercise is very important, so don’t skip any of them out. Future you will thank you for it.

3. Take it one step at a time

Rather than focusing on where you want to be in a year or in five years, think about what you’re going to do today, tomorrow and next week.

Just fill out the relevant exercises at the end of each day and week, and know that small changes can add up to a radical transformation.

4.  Be kind to yourself

It’s easy to compare yourself to others and feel like you should be doing more. But everyone experiences their own unique journey, so take a step back, breathe and give yourself some credit for all that you have achieved.

Take note of your successes but also your weaknesses – having an accurate understanding of both will serve you well asYou won’t always get it right. You’ll mess up and you’ll have setbacks.

And that’s okay.

Don’t berate yourself for it. Just pick yourself up and keep moving forwards.

You’ll learn from your mistakes, be a better person for them and be living the life you deserve before you can say ‘mindset’.
