Are You Sabotaging Your Success? Overcoming Self-Limiting Beliefs with EFT

Here are five ways to recognise self-sabotage:

  • Look for patterns of behaviour or thought that hinder your progress
  • Identify your limiting beliefs - what are the negative things you believe about yourself that could be holding you back?
  • Notice when you resist change or challenging situations
  • Observe how you talk to yourself
  • Watch out for perfectionism - is it holding you back from taking action?

Once you have identified your triggers and limiting beliefs, it's time to use tools to help you overcome them. 

Here are two initial steps to take to tackle self-sabotage:

  • Identify the triggers for your self-sabotage. Is it stress, fear, or something else? Once you have pinpointed the triggers, you can work on developing strategies to manage them.
  • Challenge your limiting beliefs. Identify the negative thoughts you hold about yourself and question why they are true. Can you find evidence to the contrary?
