My spirited 15-year-old is about to embark on her final year in school. A whirlwind of emotions - pride, joy, and a hint of nostalgia - wash over me. With its twists and turns, life certainly knows how to offer us perspective.

In the hustle and bustle of this back-to-school season, one crucial element often slips through the cracks - self-care. Balancing work, home, and school runs can be overwhelming, leading us to inadvertently neglect ourselves. But here's your friendly reminder, your gentle push - You matter. You're important. Prioritising self-care isn't an indulgence; it's an absolute necessity.

Self-care goes beyond mere pampering; it's an affirmation of your worthiness. It's a powerful statement that says, "I deserve this." I quietly ask myself, "What's one easy thing I can do now that would feel good?" It might be enjoying a moment of silence after dropping off at school, going for a stroll in the evening, or sipping a warm cup of tea. Whatever it is, I ensure I do it fully and wholeheartedly.
